Message car get towed off to a junk yard?

All kidding aside, there's been considerable debate in the past about the pros/cons of switching to synthetic on a higher mileage motor. I'm still using conventional oil in my car and change it every 3K, so I don't really think there's much of an improvement for me. Also, I use my car primarily as a DD with an occasional driving event here or there. For others that track their cars more often, there could be other benefits with using synthetic oil.

As for the tranny, I switched to Red Line a couple of years ago and oddly enough my rear seal stopped leaking. It used to leak for the first few weeks of driving after winter hibernation and then go away. But after going to Red Line it stopped doing that.
